Zhang Yanzhi’s Qingtongxia estate, founded in 2017. The visit is free if you reserve a day ahead on WeChat. Tastings, a restaurant and rooms are charged.

Xige’s site says the estate was founded in 2017 by Zhang Yanzhi, who trained at the Bordeaux wine school and studied with Denis Dubourdieu. The vineyards are at Dove Mountain in Qingtongxia, on the east side of the Helan Mountains. The address published for visitors is 1 Xige Road. Telephone 0953 833 7999, email info@xige-estate.com.
The visit page says entry is free and that a reservation must be made one day ahead through the estate’s WeChat account. A lecturer-led tasting is charged; the page lists per-person prices for set flights that include Jade Dove wines and Helan Hong N.28. The same page points to the Jade Dove restaurant and the Jade Dove vineyard hotel for meals and a room.
This is one of the few Ningxia estates where a foreign visitor can read the rules in advance, in English, on the producer’s own site.
