The Changyu Wine Culture Museum dates the company to 1892, when Zhang Bishi put up the capital for a winery on Zhifu Bay in Yantai. The museum itself opened in 1992. It stands at 56 Dama Road, Zhifu District, and publishes hours of 8:00 to 17:00, with the desk closing at 16:30, all year. The visitor centre telephone on the museum site is +86 535 663 3860.

In 2025 Changyu Noble Dragon N188 2022, from Yantai, was one of two Chinese wines to take a Decanter World Wine Awards Best in Show — China’s first. Decanter describes it as 75% Cabernet Gernischt and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, from the coast rather than from Ningxia.

Changyu also operates Château Changyu Moser XV at the eastern foot of the Helan Mountains. That estate has its own page in this directory. Company pages live at changyu.com.cn; the museum is the visit with published hours.
